Increasing consumer expectations, regulatory changes and environmental best practice is resulting in major consumer product companies seeking to improve product performance whilst replacing traditional ingredients with sustainable alternatives. Notable examples are Unilever, P&G and L’Oreal but this trend is widespread, and many of the major specialty chemicals companies have signed up to an initiative called “Together for Sustainability”. We believe that Itaconix is strategically well aligned with this long term mega-trend, with products ideally positioned to play a significant role in improving performance along with sustainability.

Our ingredients are addressing markets with an aggregate turnover of $1.4bn pa*. In order to gain access to these end markets for our products, we work both directly with end consumer product manufacturers, and we engage with strategic partners in the specialty chemicals industry. Current partners in the public domain include AkzoNobel, Croda and Solvay.
