Mello 2026 Conference Presentation and Update on Trading
Extending Plant-Based Innovation into New Markets
Itaconix plc (AIM: ITX) (OTCQB: ITXXF), a leading innovator in high-performance plant-based specialty polymers, will present today at 13.55 BST at Mello 2026 Investor Conference.
Following our most successful year to date in FY2025, the Company reports that trading in the current year has continued in line with the Board’s expectations. The management expects H1 FY2026 will be another record half. The Board remains confident in the Company’s strategy, customer pipeline and long-term growth opportunities.
Our core Itaconix® Performance Ingredients business continues to build momentum in consumer detergent applications for scale inhibition and odour neutralisation, supported by increasing customer adoption of safer, higher-performing and more sustainable ingredients. We continue to see encouraging activity levels from major customers and are closely tracking reorder rates from new customers to assess expected growth in 2026.
The Middle Eastern conflicts are creating disruptions in the production and supply of fossil-based specialty chemicals that compete against our ingredients. The Company continues to monitor logistics and transportation costs within our plant-based supply chain which have not experienced significant disruption or unfavourable cost implications, and our overall gross profit margins remain steady. Current and potential customers are recognising the stability in the supply and pricing of our ingredients, which we believe will translate into new revenue opportunities.
Driving Growth Through Innovation
In May 2026, the Company announced the launch of its new deeperclean.com marketing initiative aimed at North American consumer detergent brand owners. The flagship product on deeperclean.com is the 8 grams plant-based dishwashing detergent tablet that Itaconix introduced at the American Cleaning Institute's Innovation Showcase in February this year. The ecommerce site allows brand and formulation managers to readily receive and evaluate the novel performance and marketing claims available with our ingredients. We expect to conduct consumer evaluations to test, refine and substantiate the performance of our formulations.
In May 2026, the Company also announced the development of a new class of paints under the Company’s BIO*Asterix® programme. During this next stage of development, the Company will work with an established specialty paint company to evaluate paint products using these new esters and latexes.
In June 2026, the Company announced evaluation agricultural trials of new potential applications for our current ingredients in crop production under the tradename BioVail™ GRZ™ 200L. Results of these trials are expected at after harvest. This work will require assessment over multiple growing seasons.
